Invisalign is comprised of a series of aligners that are placed over the teeth sequentially to reposition them. Our office uses a digital scanner to fabricate a 3D model of your teeth, which is then used to develop a customized prescription according to your specific needs. This process is conducted solely between the doctor and the laboratory technicians at Invisalign's headquarters. After the desired treatment plan is achieved, your aligners are manufactured and shipped back to our office.
Invisalign treatment requires a few initial in-office appointments at the beginning, after which in- office checks are relatively infrequent. Virtual appointments are scheduled periodically to track patient progress.

How are Invisalign Clear Aligners Made?
To make your clear aligners, we'll need to make a 3D model of your mouth using 3D digital scanning. We will then use the original model to make several more models for each stage of the process. The models are used to develop your individual treatment plan and craft your clear aligners.
How do I use my Invisalign Clear Aligners?
Invisalign has many advantages over conventional braces when it comes to your lifestyle. Braces limit the kinds of foods you can eat and can make brushing more difficult. Aligners can be removed in order to eat, drink, brush and floss, and are incredibly popular because they do not have these limitations!
Your aligners will shift your teeth to the desired position specified by the customized digital prescription we set up for you, as long as they are worn for 22 hours per day. You will be given multiple sets of aligners at the beginning of your treatment and will be instructed to change them every 1 - 2 weeks. Each set will shift your teeth closer to the final position. If you neglect to wear them, then not only will the treatment period take longer, but your teeth will return to their original positions.
What Are the Advantages of Invisalign?
The main advantages that Invisalign has over braces are that they're invisible and removable. Because hardly anyone notices them and you remove them to eat and brush, it's almost as if they're not even there. As mentioned above, they don't have the limitations that normally accompany braces.
In comparison to braces, Invisalign requires fewer trips to our office. Braces need frequent adjustments that only an orthodontist can do, while your multiple sets of aligners are delivered to you in-office and then monitored by us periodically. Since your aligners are custom-made just for you, they will have a level of comfort that braces can't match.
What Kinds of Oral Problems Can Invisalign Fix?
Invisalign can correct dental crowding and rotations, as well as irregularities in bite relationship such as an overbite, underbite, or crossbite. It is best to address the misalignment of teeth before it becomes more severe or causes other problems such as dental trauma and wear, bad breath, cavities, and gingivitis.
Your overall dental health improves when we straighten your teeth. Crowded or misaligned teeth can block certain areas and make it more difficult to brush. If food gets stuck in these areas, bacteria can grow more easily, thereby causing gum disease and tooth decay. By straightening your teeth, we can open up these areas to make brushing and flossing easier.
